Rural Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)

also known as Canada’s RINP, is a community-driven process that is specifically designed for the spread of benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities in Canada.

• The RNIP determines a path for skilled workers to the Canadian Permanent Residence who want to work and live in the country through this process.
• 5 out of 10 territories participate in the RNIP process which are Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

What are the steps to apply for the RNIP?

There are 5 main steps to apply for the RNIP –

• Meet IRCC eligibility requirements for RNIP.
• Meeting the community-specific requirements.
• Finding an eligible job with an employer in any of the participating communities.
• After getting a job offer, apply for a community recommendation.
• Following community guidelines, apply for the Canada PR on IRCC.

What are the eligibility criteria for RNIP?

There are steps that make a candidate eligible for RNIP, such as –

• Must have 1 year of work experience.
• Must meet the minimum educational qualification
• Meet the required English language proficiency.
• Must have the required settlement funds.
• Meet the community-specific requirements.
• Must have a full-time job offer in any of the participating province.
