The SAT Reasoning Test assesses a student's critical thinking abilities, which are necessary for academic achievement in college. The SAT evaluates one's ability to analyze and solve problems. It also evaluates school-learned skills that will be useful in college. The SAT is often taken by individuals who are about to graduate from high school or have already graduated.
The SAT is graded on a scale of 200 to 800 points for each part, with two writing sub-scores for multiple-choice and essay questions. It is given to international students six times a year (October, November, December, January, May, and June).
